Hi, I’m Hari Arakali, creator of India Tech Report. It’s a podcast dedicated to chronicling and supporting the rise of India’s deep tech and climate tech startup ecosystems. One conversation at a time. With an occasional segue into other areas of tech.

I started this in June 2025 to combine my passion for podcasting and interest in India’s nascent but promising deep tech and climate tech startups. I host and produce the podcast myself.

Previously, I was a tech journo in mainstream media for more than 25 years. Immediately prior to this podcast, I led technology coverage at Forbes India for close to 10 years as Editor – Technology & Innovation.

A note about my picture above:

I wanted to give my listeners and viewers an authentic sense of who I am and what I do. This picture shows an old quilt that I draped on three separate mic stands (hidden beneath the quilt) to improve the acoustics for my recording. My small study is pretty much untreated, from the point of view of recording a podcast.
